The Brownsville Heritage Museum has a collection of pictures of the beginnings of Brownsville from the Spanish arrival to modern times. | Museum features a permanent collection including works by Chagall, Daumier, Samuelson, Whistler and local artists. Housed next door to the historic Neale House built in 1834, and said to be the oldest frame house in the city. Moved to present location in 1950. William Neale served two terms as mayor in the 1800s.
